两人及四人短信统一使用简短英文:“🎾 This text is to coordinate our Rolling League tennis match.”

  4. Rolling League

Singles age-group expansion from 30 players

This applies only to singles divisions with age-group expansion enabled. Up to 20 confirmed places are followed by up to 20 paid waitlist places, with a maximum of 40 players. At the registration deadline, 30–40 eligible paid players, including the waitlist, are split as evenly as possible by age on the tournament start date into two groups of 15–20 players. A field of 30 splits 15+15; 31 splits 16+15; 39 splits 20+19; and 40 splits 20+20. With an odd total, the younger group has one more player. Reaching 30 before the deadline does not finalize the groups.

Players are ordered by full date of birth; identical birth dates use an auditable system tie-break. Registration order and initial waitlist status do not determine the age group. Pending payments, eligibility questions or missing birth dates must be resolved before the roster is locked; unfinished payments do not count toward the threshold. With fewer than 30 eligible paid players, the original division remains, with up to 20 players and vacancies filled under the existing waitlist rules. Unsuccessful waitlisted players receive a refund of the amount paid and voucher return under their order. A refund request, successful processing and receipt of funds are separate states.

Each age group uses the existing field-size-based round robin and placement format, planning five or six real matches per player. Follow the published draw for opponents and match counts. Each group has its own standings and published trophy, cash and voucher awards; the ordinary underfilled-field cash formula does not override these configured awards. Monthly age groups have only the published trophy awards, while kickoff vouchers follow that month’s existing policy. This age-group expansion rule does not apply to doubles.

Open Doubles 6.5 & below · Full rules

Monthly Open Doubles schedule and awards

Monthly doubles starts with at least 10 teams, has a normal capacity of 20 teams / 40 players, and retains all 11–19 teams in an underfilled field. Schedule 5–6 matches per team based on field size: group play in days 1–20, then placement and any necessary supplementary matches in days 21–30. Follow the published app schedule for opponents and deadlines. Annual cash prizes do not apply. Top-three trophies and welcome vouchers follow that edition’s published configuration. The annual event’s RLR restriction on its top-three prize bracket and its cash-prize formula do not apply to monthly events. Fees are per player and per order; payment alone does not mean a partner or an admitted place is secured.

Entry options and ratings

Any gender pairing: men’s, women’s and mixed pairs are welcome. Enter with a partner, or sign up individually for organizer matching.

With a partner: each player registers and pays separately, then confirms the partnership by invitation. On your own: after registration closes, the organizer’s system matches eligible partners by signup order and rating. A successful match is not guaranteed.

Registration and payment are per player. Invite a partner you already know or find an eligible player in the same division. Men’s, women’s and mixed pairs are welcome. Classify each player’s RLR down to a half level, then subtract 0.5 for a woman. The adjusted total must be 6.5 or lower, including exactly 6.5. For example, a male 3.0 can partner with a male 3.5 or a female 4.0, whose adjusted level is 3.5. The partner list shows names, gender and ratings, but no age or birth date. Doubles does not expand into age divisions.

Invitations and fixed partners

Both players must have paid, be unpaired and meet the combined limit before an invitation can be sent. Each player may have at most two outgoing pending invitations and may withdraw them. Recipients may accept or decline. Once accepted, the two players form a fixed team: their other outgoing invitations are withdrawn and their other incoming invitations expire. Eligibility is rechecked on acceptance; a player cannot join two teams.

Invitations close at the registration deadline and unresolved invitations expire. Forming a team does not guarantee admission; check whether the team is confirmed. Partners remain fixed and private replacements are not allowed. If a partner officially withdraws before the start, the remaining player may form a new team under the rules below.

Places, automatic matching and pre-start replacements

Each doubles division admits 20 teams / 40 players. The first 20 complete teams receive places; additional teams and unpaired players remain on standby. At the registration deadline, the system pairs unpaired players in signup order with eligible partners in the same division. Availability is for arranging matches, not a mandatory automatic-pairing criterion; a partner is not guaranteed.

If a player withdraws before play starts, the original team dissolves and releases its place. The remaining player keeps their original signup time and payment without registering or paying again, and returns to the partner pool. Existing complete standby teams advance first in formation order. Before the registration cutoff, the remaining player may invite a new partner; after it, they enter automatic matching by original signup time and compatible rating. A new team queues by its new formation time and does not inherit the old place. The same rules apply to repeated withdrawals and re-pairing. Any refund for the withdrawing player is assessed separately under their order policy and does not affect the remaining player’s entry or payment. Standby closes when play starts. All unadmitted players, including unpaired players and members of surplus teams, leave the event and have their actual entry payment refunded; voucher returns follow the order record. A refund request, successful processing and receipt of funds are separate states.

Official free substitutes after the start

For a permanent withdrawal after kickoff, contact the organizer. Ordinary standby has ended; there is no continuing queue or automatic admission. The organizer contacts an eligible player from that division’s closed standby entries, obtains consent and replaces the outgoing member in the system. The substitute plays free and must still meet the 6.5 limit with the remaining partner. After a substitution in the annual top-three prize bracket, at least one partner must still have a published RLR. Awards depend on each player’s own RLR eligibility; an unrated teammate receives only the corresponding trophy.

The team and confirmed historical results are retained. Unfinished matches use the new member and require time and court arrangements to be confirmed again. Pending or disputed results must be resolved before substitution. Substitution does not automatically refund the outgoing player or issue another welcome gift; the organizer handles refund exceptions under the original order. Private stand-ins are not allowed.

Four-color availability and match arrangements

Use the same dates and time slots as singles. Each match participant has a color, and each cell shows all four availability states; use the name legend to identify them. Prioritize slots available to all four and keep your availability current. Four colors mean everyone marked themselves available, not that a court is booked or the match is confirmed. All four must agree on the actual time and court. Agree on alternatives together when no slot works; contact the organizer promptly if a deadline is approaching without agreement.

Contact players and messaging

All four players can arrange the match; there is no assigned coordinator. The contact list identifies your partner and opponents and shows available RLR ratings beside their names. Tap a phone number to call or text that player, or start a message to the other three participants. Agree on the time, court costs and booking responsibilities together.

Both two-player and four-player messages use the same short English text: “🎾 This text is to coordinate our Rolling League tennis match.” The app opens a draft for you to review and send. Group messaging depends on the device, messaging app and carrier; contact players individually if it is unavailable.

Matches, results and standings

Doubles requires at least 10 complete teams to start, with a normal capacity of 20. Fields of 11–19 teams retain every team; an unpaired individual does not count as a team. The system creates complete round-robin groups, then placement and any necessary supplementary matches, scheduling 5–6 real matches per team without repeat opponents. Follow your published schedule. Monthly placement tiers follow group finishes. The annual top-three prize bracket selects the highest-ranked team in each group with at least one published RLR; the remaining teams enter ordinary placement. An earlier result may be carried forward without recording it twice; supplementary matches do not change event places. The No-Ad, timed-finish, forfeit and tie-breaking rules on this page apply. Any of the four participants may submit; a player from the opposing side confirms, not the submitter’s partner. Ordinary pending scores are automatically confirmed after 24 hours without a response or dispute. Reporting an incorrect score pauses automatic confirmation; contact the submitter to correct it. Forfeiting one match does not withdraw the player from the event.

Scoring: No-Ad, timed finishes and forfeits

  1. Annual and monthly events use No-Ad scoring: at deuce, the next point wins the game and the receiver chooses the receiving side. Regular matches remain best of three sets: two six-game sets, a seven-point set tiebreak at 6–6, and a ten-point match tiebreak instead of a third set. Regular tiebreaks require a two-point margin.
  2. For a limited court booking, agree on a timed match and the finish time before starting. Begin the finishing procedure five minutes before the booking ends. A personal scheduling issue does not allow either player to impose a timed finish.
  3. At the timed finish, the player ahead in the current game wins that game. If the game is tied, the same server serves one deciding point from the deuce court. A one-game lead then wins the set; if games are tied, play a one-point tiebreak. If sets are split and the match tiebreak has not started, play a one-point tiebreak. In an unfinished match tiebreak, a one-point lead wins; if tied, play one more point. A one-point tiebreak follows the service rotation, with the receiver choosing the receiving side. No tied result can be submitted. See the Southern California procedure below for the full sequence.
  4. Rolling League addition: the first set must be completed normally before a timed finish can be submitted. Otherwise, keep the score and resume within the event deadline, or contact the organizer for guidance.
  5. Enter the actual final scores, choose Timed finish, and confirm that the format was agreed before play and the finishing procedure was followed. A result such as 6–3, 3–2 is valid; do not add unplayed games to reach six. The opponent confirms the result, with automatic confirmation after 24 hours without a response.
  6. Confirmed timed results count toward wins, points and standings. Net games use the recorded games in the first two sets. Deciding match-tiebreak points count as one set but not ordinary games. Previously confirmed results and published placement draws are preserved.
  7. If a player cannot play before the match begins, or cannot continue because of injury, illness or an emergency, report a forfeit in match details. Do not enter a score. The match is handled under the forfeit rules, and registration for later matches remains active. Doubles results count within their event and do not add players to the long-term singles leaderboards.

Scoring and group standings

  1. A group-stage win earns 1 point; a loss earns 0. Higher points rank first.
  2. For two tied players, their head-to-head winner ranks first. If there is no valid head-to-head winner, compare net sets, then net games, across the entire group.
  3. For three or more tied players, compare wins among the original tied players, then net sets and net games across the entire group. If only two remain tied at any step, apply the two-player rule.
  4. The organizer settles any remaining tie by a public draw and records the result. Net sets = sets won minus sets lost; net games = games won minus games lost. A deciding match tiebreak counts as one set; its points do not count as ordinary games.
  5. Walkovers count toward wins and losses, without invented sets or games. Only valid confirmed results count, including scores automatically confirmed after 24 hours. Standings remain provisional until the group is complete; unresolved final ties await an organizer decision.
  6. Previously published placement rankings and draws are retained. Group standings are separate from the cumulative net-games and RLR leaderboards.

Scores and contact

Either player may enter scores; the winner is encouraged to submit and the opponent to review. Scores not confirmed by the opponent within 24 hours are automatically confirmed under the match rules.
